When is it? Saturday, March 21st from 7-10:30 pm

Where is it?  Sanctuary, Cultural Arts Center at 82 Main Street in Maynard

Where do I park?  There is plenty of free public parking.  There is a lot behind Sanctuary at 23 River Street as well as a lot across the street between Nason and Summer Street; behind Azucar, as well as street parking. 

What should I expect once I am there? 

Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:

    1. Arrival & Check-In: When you arrive through the front entrance, you'll check in by giving your name. You do not need to bring a physical ticket. There will be a coat check available and a chance to buy raffle tickets. 
    2. Food: Buffet-style heavy appetizers will be served from 7:00-8:30 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the food and mingle.
    3. Bars & Drinks: Sanctuary has a full bar with cozy seating featuring plenty of creative cocktails and beer on tap plus non-alcoholic options. Try our Signature Haynes Hawktail and Mawktail. Cash and Credit Card accepted. 
    4. Live Entertainment: Local cover band, The Goonz, high school boys from Maynard, will play cover songs on stage. Their set will feature hits like Cigar (Pink Floyd), Black (Pearl Jam), and Californication (RHCP), so expect a great vibe!
    5. Live Auction: The Live Auction will kick off around 8:30 PM, so get ready to bid on some exciting items!   Here's a sneak peek of our *Live Auction items* only available for in person bidding! 
    6. Dessert: Around 9:00 PM dessert will be served, adding a sweet note to the evening.
    7. Raffle Games and Prizes: We have a few fun raffle games planned and great prizes! Bring small bills ($1’s and $5’s). Will also be accepting Venmo. 
    8. Dance Party: Once the band finishes up, a playlist will keep the energy going, and for those who feel like hitting the dance floor, there will be plenty of opportunities to dance and have fun. Have any song requests? Leave them here! 

What kind of food will be served? The event is being catered by Farfalle Italian Market in Concord, there will be gluten free and vegetarian options. 

What should I wear?  There isn’t a specific dress code.  This is a fun, casual fundraiser to support our school.  We recommend smart-casual, date night attire.  Blue and White encouraged but not required!
 

Do I have to be present to win?  Yes. Select items are only eligible for the Live Auction at Sanctuary and you must be present to bid.

Can I come late?  Of course!  The party doesn't end until 10/10:30 pm, just be aware that the Live Auction is scheduled to begin around 8:30 PM.

Do I have to bid? No, while we hope to get a battle going on our exciting live items, they might not be for you.  We do hope that you'll consider bidding online!  Lots of great items and experiences are up for grabs in our Silent Auction which is open March 18-March 22.   * ONLINE CATALOG *

Why are we raising money?

HOP funds projects, events, and school traditions, such as:

  • Cultural Arts & Science Enrichment – interactive presentations and workshops (e.g., Discovery Museum visits, the Whalemobile, author visits, puppet shows, and more) 
  • Curriculum Day Celebrations – Hatching Out, Animal Adaptation, Plantopia, Early Settlers Day, and Poetry Slam
  • Steam Week Supplies 
  • Around the World Celebration
  • Grade Level Crafts 
  • Staff Stipends – to support teachers in purchasing classroom materials

HOP also funds critical school needs, such as technology updates (ActivBoards), literacy materials, math kits and supplies, adaptive seating, and playground equipment.

What if I don't know anyone?  Please still come!  This is  your chance to meet and get to know others in our Haynes Community.  

Do I need to bring money? While the bar will accept credit cards, there will be a few raffle games that will be accepting cash– small bills encouraged. Venmo also accepted.
